USDA Forest Service Announces Monumental $1 Billion Investment in Community Forests Across America

The National Park Service (NPS) turns 107 on August 25. Congress created the agency in 1916 to “conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wildlife therein and… leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations.”
