Pittsburgh Opportunities: High School Summer Program
Our six-week paid summer program offers high school students the chance to:

The Student Conservation Association has been fielding conservation crews in Pittsburgh for more than 20 years.
Dates: Starts the last week of June and runs through the first week of August each year.
Future Opportunities: Successful summer program participants may be eligible for fall and spring jobs.

The Pittsburgh Urban Green High School Summer Program starts the last week of June and runs through the first week of August each year.
Our high school summer crews are made up of 10 crew members and two adult (age 21+) crew leaders.
The crews meet for 30 hours a week, Monday through Friday, performing service work such as improving trails, removing invasive species, and improving community gardens.

The Urban Green’s Spring and Fall High School Program is designed with offers job opportunities designed around school schedules.
The spring and fall programs are available for people who have successfully completed the Pittsburgh Urban Green summer program.

CPR & First Aid
The SCA's Pittsburgh Urban Green program runs in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Learn and Earn Summer Youth Employment Program and the Parks Department. More than a dozen foundations and local organizations provide financial, material, and educational support to help make this program possible.
