The purpose of the Indigenous Youth Endowment Fund is to actively engage Indigenous youth, equipping them with essential skills, experiences, and values that foster personal and professional growth.
The endowment will enable the SCA to offer long-lasting conservation job opportunities to Indigenous youth, foster cultural engagement with local tribes, and amplify Indigenous voices throughout our programs.
Through hands-on learning, program participants acquire the skills necessary for careers in and beyond conservation. By fostering partnerships and expanding networks, the SCA aims to grow and sustain this initiative while empowering Indigenous youth through workforce readiness job training.
Inspired by the deep knowledge, stewardship and enduring connection to the land held by Indigenous communities, the SCA is committed, alongside it’s partners, to advancing conservation practices rooted in Indigenous leadership and traditional ecological knowledge.
Your generous gift to the Indigenous Youth Endowment Fund will create sustained career pathways for Indigenous youth, strengthen partnerships with Tribal communities, and ensure that Indigenous voices, perspectives, and land stewardship practices are meaningfully integrated across SCA programs.
Together, we can help protect our public lands while honoring and advancing the traditions of those who have cared for them for generations.
The SCA welcomes additional contributions to the Indigenous Youth Endowment Fund. To learn more, contact William Cardamon at 571-895-1817 or [email protected].
