The purpose of the Indigenous Youth Endowment Fund is to actively engage Indigenous youth, equipping them with essential skills, experiences, and values that foster personal and professional growth as they transition to adulthood.
The endowment will enable the SCA to offer long-lasting conservation job opportunities to Indigenous youth, foster cultural engagement with local tribes, and amplify Indigenous voices throughout our programs.
Inspired by the care, expertise, and connection to the land of our Indigenous neighbors and youth, the SCA and its partners have committed to preserving the land and continuing the traditions of Indigenous communities with land management techniques and learning through Indigenous teachings.
Through hands-on learning, program participants acquire the skills necessary for careers in and beyond conservation. By fostering partnerships and expanding networks, the SCA aims to grow and sustain this initiative while empowering Indigenous youth through workforce readiness job training.
The SCA welcomes additional contributions to the Indigenous Youth Endowment Fund. To learn more, contact Bill Cadamon at (571) 895-1817 or wcardamon@thesca.org.
