ARLINGTON, VA. – The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Zachary Bolick as Vice President of Partnerships.

His background managing critical relationships with our network of partners, coupled with being a three-time SCA program participant, makes him uniquely suited for the role,” said SCA President and CEO Lidia Soto-Harmon. “Strong partnerships are essential to our success in providing meaningful conservation experiences for young people. Zachary’s deep commitment to the SCA’s mission will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach and impact.”

Mr. Bolick will focus on leading and directing an experienced and effective national team in the development and implementation of coordinated business development strategies for national, state and local initiatives, including overseeing partner and government relations.

“I am honored to have been selected for this role and am excited to help advance partnerships that have positive impacts on the lives of our youth and young adult participants,” Bolick said. “We will continue to strengthen our relationships with our existing partners while exploring ways to innovate our approaches to hands-on conservation service and workforce development.”

For the past decade, Mr. Bolick has worked in a variety of roles at the SCA, helping to advance its partnerships with federal, tribal, state and local government agencies and others. His previous positions at the SCA included Senior Director of Partnership Operations, Director of Partnerships for Alaska and the Pacific Islands, and Partnership Manager for the Western United States. Prior to joining the SCA, Mr. Bolick worked for the National Parks Conservation Association and as a seasonal park ranger for numerous federal land management agencies across the country.

Mr. Bolick earned a master’s in public policy from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Arts in honors political science and global studies from the University of Tennessee. He also earned several certifications, including Wilderness First Responder and S-212 Wildland Fire Chainsaws.
