The more you learn about the Student Conservation Association’s founder, Liz Putnam, the more you are in awe of her greatness.
We are especially proud to honor her during Women’s History Month, and we also want to celebrate her birthday on April 3! Will you help us?
Two ways to help us celebrate Liz’s birthday (you can do both!):
Simply add your name and a short message if you’d like. We will add it to one big card and deliver it to Liz on her birthday.
It’s easy and fun! Use this link to record a quick video. We’ll combine everyone’s messages together and send her one big birthday montage.
From laying the foundation for the SCA in her senior thesis at Vassar College in the 1950s to becoming the first conservationist to receive the U.S. Presidential Citizens Medal, Liz is widely recognized as the “Mother of the American Youth Conservation Movement.” Her vision has shaped countless lives and cared for many parks.
Thank you for helping us give our beloved founder one big giant birthday hug!
