There are so many things we can do to protect the planet. Conservation begins with a place, an action and committed people like you. Tell us how it begins for you!
Your answers will likely be as varied and diverse as SCA’s work itself. Some think SCA volunteers just build trails—and it’s true that we maintain millions of feet of trails in our national parks each year.
But nearly 8,000 SCA volunteers across the country are also busy working on a variety of other critical projects. They are using GPS tracking to prevent conflict between wildlife and humans in Yosemite Valley. They are protecting imperiled species like monarch butterflies through public outreach in Wisconsin. They’re building green cities by working with local businesses and community members in Pittsburgh, and much, much more.
