SCA Alum Week
June 22–28, 2025
We're dedicating a full week to honoring the impact of our 100,000+ alum community. Whether you served last year or decades ago, in an urban space, the backcountry, or somewhere else—you’re part of the SCA family, and we’re excited to celebrate YOU.
Throughout SCA Alum Week, we’ll spotlight inspiring alum stories, host virtual opportunities and in-person events to connect, and give away exclusive SCA swag and prizes. Let’s come together to celebrate the difference you’ve made, and continue to make, for the planet and each other.

Sunday, June 22:
Bioblitz Kickoff (virtual)
• Interested in learning more about the iNaturalist platform and our BioBlitz plans? Join us for a virtual overview of what to expect on June 18, 2025 at 4 ET with Katy Swiere from our SCA DC Area team.
• Join us from wherever you are for our first Alum Week BioBlitz to contribute to science and showcase our collective connection to the natural world. Let's see how many species our alum community can identify during this exciting week!

Founder's Day
This Founder's Day marks 68 years since Liz Putnam launched the SCA and a national movement. From the beginning, SCA alums have been essential in bringing Liz’s bold vision to life. Look for a special message from Liz as a heartfelt tribute to the power of this community and the legacy you continue to build.

Service & Social at Indiana Dunes National Park
Team up with fellow alums, current members, and SCA staff for an impactful day of service at Indiana Dunes National Park in Northwest Indiana. Then, stick around afterward to relax, recharge, and connect over some good food and great conversation at the Dunes West Beach recreational area. Register to attend.
Saturday, June 28:
Alum Thank-A-Thon
We wrap up Alum Week with an abundance of gratitude for the many ways our alums continue to make a difference.

Meet along the C&O Canal in Georgetown for our first-ever Alum Week BioBlitz and meet for pizza after! Register.

2. Now until 11:59 PM ET local time on June 28, 2025, check-off as many activities as you can on your BINGO card.

You will see a little menu on the bottom right of the card page you can use to email your card to yourself. Any boxes you marked on your card will be saved automatically.
