Arthropod biodiversity intern (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

Starts May 18, 2015 • NATIONAL CAPITAL PARKS - EAST, Washington, DC

Position will coordinate an arthropod biodiversity inventory at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in DC, working with NPS staff and partners to plan and coordinate 3 collecting events and much more!

Community Garden Intern (local candidates recommended)

Starts March 2, 2015 • Fort Dupont Park, Washington, DC

Plant & Maintain a demonstration garden. Schedule, develop, plan and present garden projects & educational programs. Familiar with or be able to quickly learn organic gardening practices. Local candidates recommend, no housing on site.

Biological Science Intern -- Invasives Species Control (Long Term)

Starts April 5, 2015 • Marais des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge, Pleasanton, KS

Primary duty is to identify & control invasive & noxious vegetation with standard equipment and herbicide, but also conduct biological surveys & monitoring of flora & fauna; collect & organize field data, assist with prescribed burn, & more!

General Resource Management Intern

The Wilderness Education internship will work in the beautiful Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area in southwestern Montana. Focus is on wilderness education, restoration and monitoring.

Trails Coordinator

Starts March 1, 2015 • Catoctin Mountain Park, Thurmont, MD

Position will be the Trails Coordinator for Catoctin Mountain Park. The person will be responsible for planning, design, and coordination with volunteer groups and staff to complete trail projects.
