St. Catherine Creek Refuge Complex
This will be a 12-week visitor services internship. Interns will work at the front desk of the visitor center. Major duties include: greet visitors, answer questions, provide public use information and printed materials, answer telephone, etc. Intern will have the opportunity to assist with biological data collection on occasion. Hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday -Friday.
St. Catherine Creek NWR is located 10 miles south of Natchez, MS. It is comprised of over 25,000 acres of diverse habitat. The major objective of the refuge is migratory bird and waterfowl habitat management.
Intern will receive IT training and defensive driving training.
Intern will receive basic training on various oﬃce equipment. Recreational opportunities include ﬁshing, hunting, hiking, wildlife observation and photography. Occasional work with staff biologists is available if intern is interested.
