We are seeking a student who resides in or around Boise to join us for a part-time internship during the fall semester for 14 weeks. 

SUMMARY:  The program is a service provided to the public for reserving campgrounds and other amenities across the entire federal land spectrum.  In August 2012, the website underwent a complete redesign and introduced additional trip-planning tools designed to raise awareness of the special places across these landscapes and increase visitation, especially for international travelers.
DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:  Write trip-planning content for customers based on established templates.  Edit content received from agency points of contact to ensure accuracy, adherence to templates and consistency of style, as well as with the AP Stylebook.  Assist in implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to increase awareness and traffic to the website.
HOURS:  Flexible, 15 to 20 hours per week, during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Intern will be excused during regularly scheduled school breaks and all federal holidays. This position isn’t AmeriCorps eligible because it is part-time.
REQUIREMENTS:  Candidate will possess excellent marketing-style writing, editing and research skills to successfully write and edit trip-planning content for travel customers of the website.  Candidate will also possess the skills and abilities necessary to write and post effective social media content to a variety of platforms; as well as monitor statistics and develop reports to help determine the effectiveness of social media efforts.  Either upper level or graduate-level marketing/public relations students will be considered for this position.
