This position will involve a mixture of office work and field work, including GIS/GPS with Trimble and Garmin units.  The duties include natural resources inventory and monitoring in a variety of disciplines: forestry, wildlife management (marine mammals/terrestrial species/fisheries), vegetation mapping, wetlands mapping. Work locations will be on Navy installations throughout the Puget Sound region of Washington State.
  • Navy bases throughout the Puget Sound region of Washington State.
  • Mentoring by senior civilian Navy natural resources professionals; interacting with engineers, NEPA planners, environmental protecton and restoration scientists
  • Working with senior civilian natural resources professionals in a variety of disciplines: forestry, wildlife ecology (marine mammals/terrestrial species/fisheries), marine biology, fishery biology, etc
