Responsibilities include assisting the park’s seasonal biotech in invasive plant control including manual and chemical methods using mowers, shovels, hand-pulling and backpack sprayers. The goal is to contain, or eradicate, Canada thistle, bull thistle, musk thistle, henbane, yellow sweetclover, cheatgrass, and other non-native or invasive species.

Housing will depend on demand and may be a shared apartment with two people to a bedroom or other accomodations. Fully furnished, only need to bring bedding and personal items.

  • Commercial pesticide applicator license training for Wyoming. Invasive vs native plant identification. Invasive plant control techniques.
  • Fossil Butte is a fossil park so members will be exposed to paleontology. Without a car members have access to local hiking on free time. With a car there are many things to do in a reasonable distance from Kemmerer, WY.
