In partnership with the USDA Pacific Southwest Research Station’s Institute for Forest Genetics in Placerville, CA, the Student Conservation  Association will recruit three, 12-week Conservation Interns The interns will assist the Institute in its continued efforts in the restoration of the site’s  arboretums and grounds. This would include but would not be limited to completing the mapping and re-labeling of all three of the arboretums,  digitizing  the historic records on the arboretums and the off-site plantations, and measuring  the living arboretums trees. Other opportunities depending on the individual’s skills and interest would be participating  in other activities, for example assisting in the ground restoration, establishment  of trail extensions in the Eddy arboretum, establishment  of native California oaks in the Eddy; this could include being involved in the collection of seed and propagation  of the different oak species.
