Locations

SCA Conservation Crews work all over the country, in every state.  Where you are is not the point.  What makes being on an SCA crew so memorable are the bonds you form, the work you accomplish, the experience that you will always remember.

When you apply, you may state a preference for a region of the country and the placement team will try to accommodate that preference. However, we do not consider requests for specific locations. But just to give you an idea of the range of sites, here are a few photos taken by SCA members this past summer.

Pictures are from Chattahoochee River National Park, GA; Pacific Crest Trail near Stevens Pass, WA; Yosemite National Park, CA; Grand Canyon National Park, AZ; Bandelier National Monument, NM; Denali National Wildlife Refuge, AK; Mojave National Preserve, CA; Grand Teton National Park, WY; Glacier National Park, MT; Sequoia National Park, CA; Yellowstone National Park, WY; and Isle au Haut, ME.  Can you match up site names with photos?

Later, when you have learned what you need to know about applying for an SCA Conservation Crew, you may want to visit SCA's Flickr Photo Contest that features over 2,000 field pix submitted by 2008 alumni.
