This past December I graduated with a degree in Conservation and Environmental Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Since then, still stationed in Wisconsin, I’ve been working and enjoying the pleasures in life. Trying my best to travel as much as possible and feeling super excited about our upcoming Westward adventure. Looking forward to further engaging myself in our environment and eager to meet everyone involved in the next phase.
Abby Brokaw
Hello! My name is Abby Brokaw. This will be my first season working with the SCA and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m 23 years old and from Arlington, VA. I graduated from The College of Wooster in 2010 with a B.A. in Anthropology. I have only ever been to Northern California where I worked on an organic farm a few summers ago. So I’m eager to explore the southern part of the state and learn more about the desert ecosystem. I currently work at an outdoor outfitting store where I help get other people all geared up to be outside. And now finally my time has come! I’m very much looking forward to living and working outside and the upcoming season.
Juhyun Kim
I am a 22 year old Korean American, born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in New York. Previous to my senior year of college, I had done very little traveling in my life. However, in the summer of 2010, I went on a research expedition to the Amazon River Basin and there, all my goals, dreams, and interests blew up to 10 times its size. Now I can't stop traveling and learning new things that will ultimately lead me to perform my own research with my own research assistants. This is my first time to a desert environment and I am stoked!
