As the Official Airline of SCA, Southwest Airlines provides hundreds of airline tickets each year for members, leaders, and staff. Southwest Airlines believes in giving from the heart to make a positive impact on communities year-round. Their desire to make a difference is part of who Southwest Airlines is as company, one that truly cares. They may be an airline, but they do some of their best work on the ground- and it wouldn’t be possible without their passionate Employees. Bringing people together, inspiring change, and making a positive difference in people’s lives—it’s all part of being a good neighbor. Southwest Employees join student volunteers at SCA’s service projects across the United States. “Southwest Airlines is a citizen of this planet and with that citizenship, it is our responsibility to set an example and support Environmental Stewardship now and plant the seed for future generations,” said Linda Rutherford, Southwest Airlines Vice President of Communication and Strategic Outreach.
In February 2014, SCA expanded our partnership with Southwest Airlines to bring SWA employees, friends, and family the chance to restore and beautify local communities across the the nation. Hundreds of employees joined us on the morning of each SWA Message to the Field to give back to the local community. Click on an event below to see photos and learn about the service to the community!
