Fire Education Corps, Reno NV 2003

I was the Fire Ed Team Leader with the BLM. My team & I worked with communities north of Reno, NV to protect their homes from wildfire. We performed home evaluations, attended community events, gave presentations and set up service projects to help houses obtain defensible space. One thing I really liked about Fire Ed was working with the federal government, city fire departments, volunteer fire departments and neighborhood groups - helping them to work together. And Reno was a pretty awesome place to live!
