History in the making at Pecos NHP
R Dunn (NM 2008)
My second crew took me off the beaten track to Pecos National Historic Park in New Mexico. The park is a beautiful place rich in history from three different eras. Our crew carved out some new trail at the Civil War Battleground (yep the Civil war reached all the way to New Mexico). We even made friends with members of the Texas Daughters of the American Revolution. The work was hard and the days were hot but in the end it was worth it! At the end of each day we were blessed with amazingly colorful New Mexico sunsets.
