The Desert is Beautiful

The nine months I spent with SCA's Desert Restoration Corps was one of the best times in my life. I hauled buckets of rock and used techniques to restore and completely remove off-road vehicle impacts. I collected data with Trimble GPS units that eventually led the BLM to reassess its management plan for what it had designated an area of critical environmental concern. More importantly, the experience has changed my life and the desert will forever have a place in my heart.
