Lifeguard / Aquatic Observer

Lifeguard / Aquatic Observer Location: Camp Rosenthal Job Purpose: Participate in staff training prior to campers' arrival. Maintain all necessary and applicable safety standards in the operation of the assigned waterfront area. Insure campers swim in designated area according to tested abilities. Operate safe and FUN recreational swim program. Keep swim board and waterfront equipment building neat and clean. Keep the areas surrounding the swimming beach free from trash. Assist counselor(s) with campers when not scheduled to be on lifeguard duty. Live and work with one group of campers (8 to 10) and assume responsibility for them when their counselor is off-duty. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Waterfront Director. Requirements: At least 18 years of age. Hold a current Lifeguard Certification. Demonstrate to the Waterfront Director of skills necessary to perform the required duties. Understand the value of the camp experience.
