Natural Resource Technician internship will primarily be working in recreation.  This position will assist the recreation technician with maintenance and improvements to the Tombigbee Ranger District's developed and dispersed recreation sites.  These sites include 2 developed campground sites that have 48 total developed camping sites, 2 swim beaches (one beach sits on a 200 acre lake and the other beach sits on a 100 acre lake) with 2 day use areas.  These sites average approximately 10,000 visitors per season.  Other recreational opportunities to work with will be the Witchdance horsetrail (18 miles), Chickasaw ATV trail (12 miles), Noxubee Hills Biking and Hiking trail ( approximately 26 miles) and multiple interpretive sites.  The intern will also have opportunities to work with a Natural Resource Summer Camp's, 4-H Clubs and forest visitors.
