You will help establish monitoring plots and collect data using defined protocols including photopoints, transects, burn severity, and fuel inventory,(75%); data entry and management using established monitoring software,(20%); other monitoring related duties,(5%). EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: Opportunities exist for exposure to endangered MS Sandhill crane education program and related refuge outreach activities. Bird watching, nature study, canoeing, kayaking and hiking are available either at the refuge or at the nearby Gulf Islands National Park (within 10 miles).
