ConSERVE NYC: November Service Event at Riverside Park

Saturday, November 9, 2013 - 10:00am
Riverside Park
New York, NY

Join SCA for Our November ConSERVE NYC Event at Riverside Park in Manhattan

Riverside Park encompasses four miles of waterfront along the Hudson River on Manhattan’s West Side. In June, SCA and American Eagle joined forces to help clear tires, lumber, and other storm debris that had washed up at the park during Hurricane Sandy. This month, volunteers will be returning to plant flower bulbs, spread mulch, and prepare the park for the winter.

This event is the second in a yearlong series of public service projects that SCA is holding across the five boroughs of New York City. With Saturday conservation projects at new sites each month, ConSERVE NYC offers volunteers the opportunity to help build resiliency in New York City’s public lands—and to network with others who share an interest in urban conservation.
