Liz,
Congratulations on a well deserved national honor and recognition for the many years of committed hard work you've put in to create, nurture and mentor SCA. From concept to reality - YOU made it happen! With hope that future generations will carry on with the same inspiration, passion and commitment that you possess. With much admiration & love, Fraser Brewer Gilbane

Liz,
While you were having probably the most exciting moment in your and SCA's life to date, I found myself caught up in a blend of archival and phenoligical work at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP (right in our home state!). So, while I found out about the award after the fact, all I can say is, "Wow, why did it take them this long?"
In all seriousness, it represents no small achievement to have youth conservation leadership officially awarded and recognized by our highest executive power, especially from the beginnings of a senior thesis. Although I would haved loved to have been there on the scene, I'm sure fellow SCA-DC colleagues and colleagues across the country were well-represented.
Here's to a lifetime of sweet achievements, driven by a sweet mission, and inspired by one sweet lady!

Liz,
We watched your wonderful moment in the East Room with braod smiles (and goosebumps.) What a well-dserved honor. We were sure that you were turning it all around and thanking the President, when he of course was honoring you!
Congrats Liz!!
