Youth Conservation Leadership Crews

Month-long program, 2 locations: Alaska and Appalachian Trail in NH, Receive Outdoor Certifications and Leadership Skills

Adding a New Dimension to Outdoor Summer Programs

Outdoor Certifications. Leadership skills. Hands-on Conservation - An experience beyond summer camp.

SCA’s Conservation Leadership Crew is a fee-based, hands-on conservation service experience that adds an exciting new dimension to SCA's National Crews. You will walk away with concrete outdoor skills certifications and a focused training on leadership, wilderness medicine, and outdoor education, all within SCA's hallmark structure of giving back to mother nature through hands-on conservation service.

In a Leave No Trace Awareness or Trainer course, become an expert in living sustainably in the outdoors as you teach your skills to your fellow crew members. Practice the techniques to take care of each other while exploring Wilderness Medicine topics and practicing your splinting. Curious about the local flora, fauna, and culture of Alaska?  Explore it first hand while giving back as a steward of the land. Ready to learn and develop your own personal leadership style - and use it in real life situations? The Conservation Leadership Crew program is for you.

The Conservation Leadership Crew is an adventure of a lifetime - whether you’re exploring and conserving the pristine Alaskan countryside or putting in the miles on America’s iconic National Scenic Trails, you’ll be taking your conservation goals to the next level and preparing to be a true conservation leader, all while making a difference in the great outdoors.
